WHAT IS A yEAST INFECTION?
A vaginal yeast infection is a fungal infection of the vagina caused by yeast overgrowth.
The primary cause of a vaginal yeast infection is a fungus called Candida albicans. Candida normally exists in the vagina in small quantities but when the vaginal environment and pH gets disrupted, yeast begins to overgrow the good bacteria that normally live in the vagina. BoriCap helps to maintain the normal vaginal environment by gently adjusting pH, thus preventing infections before they occur.

How do I know if I have a vaginal yeast infection?
Yeast infections are common -- It is estimated that 75% of women will develop one over the course of their lifetime. About half of those women affected will experience more than one yeast infection. Recognizing the tell tale symptoms of a yeast infection is the first step towards treatment.
As in all things medical, prevention is always easier than treatment. Yeast infections are no exception to this rule. BoriCap & FloraPro can help.Dr. Weston

I’m so miserable! Can I prevent a yeast infection from happening again?
With a bit of planning, some lifestyle changes, and the addition of BoriCap and FloraPro into your health routine, prevention may be possible for you. Any situation that disturbs the pH and normal bacteria that live in the vagina can lead to an infection. Normal vaginal pH is 3.8 to 4.5. When the pH of the vaginal lining is too high or low on this very narrow scale range, Candida Albicans (a major cause of yeast infection) can overtake the vagina leaving you with the telltale odor, itch, burning and misery of an infection.
Other things that have an impact on the vaginal environment are: antibiotics, excessive moisture or warmth, having your period, excessive alcohol or sugar intake, intercourse, tampons, scented soaps and feminine hygiene products. Some of these factors you can change, some you can not. Think of your vagina as a bucket. If you fill the bucket with a bit of water here and there eventually the bucket will overflow. If you keep adding triggers for a yeast infection, eventually your vagina will do the same. What can you do to prevent your next infection rather than treat your next flare up?

My yeast infection was gone and now it’s back! What gives?
We would love to tell you that using a one time therapy of BoriCap will forever eliminate any yeast, BV or pH issues but that's not likely going to be the case. For the woman who gets a one time infection due to a perfect storm of factors, this may be the case. However for most of us your body is going to do what your body wants to do. Much like a diabetic or someone who suffers from high blood pressure, the tendency will always be there. That being said, for some women, managing symptoms is sometimes a lifelong course. Once you get a full blown infection controlled, maintenance may only involve using BoriCap during trigger times like menses or after intercourse. This avoids the need for a full course of treatment for 2 weeks. Over time, most women report finding a course of maintenance therapy that works for them based upon the symptoms that they are experiencing and the past treatment courses that have worked for them.
I only used a few suppositories but I am having a problem...
Should you experience any pain or unusual bleeding during use, you should stop using BoriCap suppositories as it may be a sign of a more serious condition. Consult your physician for further diagnosis and treatment.
I finished treatment but I’m still having symptoms... what now?
If you are still experiencing symptoms after a course of 2 weeks of treatment, it is time to visit your health care provider to ensure that you have been properly diagnosed or do not have a more serious condition.
In addition, certain medical conditions can predispose you to developing yeast infections. These include but are not limited to diabetes, pregnancy, immunosuppression or a compromised immune system.
