BoriCap Product Knowledge

When BoriCap mixes with your physiological fluids, you may have this discharge the next morning when you wake up. Some days, we find that the discharge doesn’t come until later in the day *surprise!*, so it’s best to wear a cotton pantyliner the day after using BoriCap. Sometimes it even decides to come out when you roll over in the morning, so an overnight pantyliner isn’t a bad idea either.

If you’re even thinking about having sex while you have a yeast infection, more power to you girl! While it is recommend to abstain from sexual activity while undergoing treatment to avoid further yeast and BV irritation to yourself or your partner, you may resume vaginal and oral sexual relations 24 hours after last suppository placement.

You can definitely use BoriCap while you have your period! Many women get infections before menses because of hormonal changes, and find using BoriCap during their period helps keep their pH balanced. It’s best to avoid using a tampon in conjunction with a BoriCap suppository to allow for proper contact of the suppository with vaginal fluids.

No, boric acid has no impact on the so-called "good bacteria" in the vagina. Otherwise known as lactobacilli, boric acid helps to maintain healthy levels so that BV and yeast have difficulty taking over the vaginal environment. Boric acid also has a direct anti-fungal and anti-bacterial effect on organisms that are unhealthy for the vagina. BoriCap contains no other ingredients (fillers, flow agents or dyes) and is felt to be safest and most effective in managing vaginal health.

First and foremost, it’s imperative that you’ve been seen by your doctor, and yeast and/or BV has been diagnosed. We would love to tell you that using a one time therapy of BoriCap will forever eliminate any yeast, BV or pH issues but it's not likely. For the woman who gets a one time infection due to a perfect storm of factors that contribute to a yeast infection, this may be the case. However for most of us, your body is going to do what your body wants to do. Much like a diabetic or someone who suffers from high blood pressure, the tendency will always be there. That being said, for 8% of women, managing symptoms is a lifelong course. Once a full blown infection is controlled, maintenance is typically a few suppositories during "triggers" and no more infections! The good news is that infections are easier to manage with BoriCap than messy creams and antibiotics!

There is no current research on whether condoms are compromised by boric acid suppositories.

Many women suffer from vaginal dryness due to hormonal changes, medication usage, dehydration and a multitude of other factors. Because BoriCap needs some moisture for ease of insertion as well as to help the gelatin capsule dissolve, vaginal dryness is a problem. A water based lubricant can make the insertion process more comfortable and can speed up the dissolving of the suppository.

Using your finger is a perfectly acceptable way to insert BoriCap but if you feel more comfortable, we also offer applicators that can be purchased separately or a 60 count bottle which includes an applicator. Regardless of what method you choose, once inserted, you should not be able to feel BoriCap inside of you. If you are uncomfortable in any way after insertion, you did not place the suppository in far enough and should reposition it. Adding some lubrication to your finger will make the repositioning more comfortable.

Boric acid suppository use has not been studied in pregnancy. If you have a doctor who has studied boric acid therapy, they may feel that it is a safe and appropriate therapy. Please ask your obstetrician if boric acid therapy is right for you!

BoriCap suppository use has not been studied in nursing mothers, and we cannot recommend usage.

Boric acid is a mineral, and its chemical properties are not affected by heat whatsoever.

FloraCap Product Knowledge

NO! This is the coolest thing about our probiotic! The freeze dried strains come alive again once they reach the heat and churning of your stomach.

Sorry to hear that your gut is in a bit of an uproar with FloraCap use. Probiotics are known to cause some temporary reactions such as minor bloating, cramping or a mild laxative or constipating effect. These are the signs that the beneficial bacteria are remodeling, detoxifying and improving the gut environment. We would be happy to refund you but we’re assuming that you made the decision to try a probiotic to either improve your overall health or treat a known condition. We can offer these suggestions to you to deal with symptoms:

1. Decrease the dosage

One possible way to reduce the side effects is to reduce the dosage. If you were taking two probiotic pills daily, try taking only one probiotic pill per day. As your body becomes accustomed to the lower dosage, then you can increase the dosage to higher levels. Taking too many probiotic CFUs too quickly may result in probiotic overdose.

2. Stay hydrated

Drinking plenty of water is the most efficient method to eliminate toxins from your body. Staying adequately hydrated helps to dilute the effect of probiotics and other supplements that you may be taking. This decreases the likelihood of your gut being in an uproar. Great rule of thumb is to drink half of your body weight in ounces. For example, a 120 pound woman should drink 60 ounces of water per day. Additional fluids should be taken if exercising or sweating profusely.

3. Give your body time to adjust

Your body didn’t get in this situation in a day and it’s not going to correct itself in a day either. Taking probiotics can kill tons of bad bacteria, replacing them with the good. This can be quite a shock to our body! So give it at least two weeks of feeling the side effects.

CranCap Product Knowledge

When you take an antibiotic over and over again, the bacteria you are trying to eradicate becomes resistant to the antibiotic. In other words, it no longer works. Antibiotic resistance has become an enormous problem in all health care settings and costs millions of dollars each year. If your body becomes resistant to antibiotics, it may not work when you are very sick.

If your health care provider has prescribed an antibiotic to treat an active infection, you should follow their treatment plan and continue to take the prescription as advised. In addition, you should begin a once a day dosage of CranCap to prevent further infections from developing.

Because there is no sustained release feature, the CranCap capsule can be opened and mixed in the food or beverage of your choice. It does have a bitter flavor, so you may want to mask the taste in something sweet like pudding or yogurt.

Both men and women can use CranCap.

The use of CranCap has not been studied in pregnancy and therefore we advise against its use unless you have been specifically instructed to do so by your physician.

The use of CranCap has not been studied in nursing mothers and therefore we advise against it unless you have been specifically instructed to do so by your physician.

Cranberry juice alone does not contain enough of the UTI prevention ingredient proanthocyanidin (PAC) to protect against developing a urinary tract infection.

We do work with small pharmacies, doctors offices, and midwiferies that are interested in providing their customers with quick access to BoriCap. If you are interested in wholesale, please email us from your business email, and we’d be happy to forward you pricing.
